Automatic backups

We take periodic backups of hosting accounts as a courtesy (see your plan's terms for specifics). You should still keep your own independent backups for anything business-critical.

Taking a manual backup

1

Open the Backup Wizard in cPanel

Found under the Files section.

2

Choose Download a Full Website Backup

This bundles your files, databases and email into one archive.

3

Store it somewhere safe

Download to your computer or a cloud drive — not just your hosting account.

For WordPress specifically, a plugin like UpdraftPlus can automate this and store backups directly to Google Drive or Dropbox.

Restoring a backup

Use the same Backup Wizard's restore option, or raise a support ticket and our team will restore it for you — especially useful if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.

Restoring a full backup overwrites your current site. Always download a fresh backup of the current state first, just in case.

Still stuck?
